Solar e Charger™ Solo
Wagan Tech’s Solar e charger™ Solo is a multi-functional device. Built to satisfy the needs of today’s on-the-go people, the Solo will power you on your next adventure whether that is to the beach, on vacation, hiking, camping, or just at work; the Solo will make your life more convenient and enjoyable. Solar e Charger™ Solo

Battery Strength
Wagan Tech’s Solar e charger™ Solo (Solo) features a 4000mAh Li-Polymer internal battery that can be recharged via AC (wall outlet), DC (your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket), USB Port (as found on your computer), or via the built-in solar panels. The internal 4000mAh battery is well over 2 times the size of an Apple® iPhone 5 battery (1440mAh)! You supply the device, Solo will supply the power.

Features
With high efficiency solar panels, USB, and micro-USB cables built in to the Solo, you won’t have to worry about running out of power or searching for the cables to charge your device! Another user-friendly design of the Solo is the lanyard/carabiner loop in the case. This allows you to tie a tether or a carabiner to the Solo for ease of hanging; perfect for use in camp, on a tree, or hanging from a backpack.

Emergency Power
The Solo is a great companion to your car, house, survival, or emergency kit. It is also a Hunter’s, Hiker’s, Camper’s, or outdoor enthusiast’s best friend. Providing near endless power, the Solo is ideal for emergencies! When outdoors or without power outlets, the Solo will ensure that your cellphone will always have a charge to make emergency calls. What about natural disasters? Wagan Tech’s Solo uses Solar power to recharge itself even if the power grid is down. Your phone will not be without power. Be sure that your car, B.O.B., home, and loved ones always have a Solo Charger nearby.

Solar e Charger™ Solo

New Generation Solar Panels
Gone are the days of your weak science project solar panels. Today’s modern Solar panels, as found on the Solo, are 35% more efficient than the competitor’s panels and more resilient as well (less fragile). More efficiency means that you have to wait less time for the solar panels to fully recharge the Solo.

Simple to Use
To charge your device, simply plug in the micro-USB cable from the Solo into your device and press the power button. Charging has begun!
Recharging the Solo is just as simple. Plug in the supplied USB cable from the side of the Solo into a wall charger, laptop, or other USB power source. To charge with the onboard solar panels, just set the Solo in the Sun’s rays and let the Solo charge itself!

Battery Status LED Lights
With 4 built in red LED battery status lights, it’s easy to check the Solo’s battery status. Just press the silver button on the bottom of the Solo and the LED battery status lights will illuminate. When full, all four lights will illuminate, 3 lights denotes a 75% charge; 2 lights denotes 50%. When the battery is at 25% or less, only 1 light will illuminate. When charging, the light will blink indicating that the Solo is charging and at which battery charging stage it is currently at.

Off the Shelf Uses
The Solo can charge your phone, tablet, GPS, etc., but it can also power your USB devices! Small USB powered Fans, Lights, and gadgets are all possible with the power from the Solo! The options are nearly limitless.

Solar e Charger™ Solo is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for backpacking I posted a review on Amazon, and thought I'd share it over here as well. I've bought a few battery packs specifically for backpacking. I use my phone for GPS and music while in the back country. My previous favorite was the Unu Enerpak Tube 5,000mah. Before that, I had the Bushnell Bear Grylls SolarWrap, but the solar panel died on its second backpacking trip, so I threw it away. I compared percent charged by both the Wagan and Unu batteries on my OnePlus One phone that has a huge battery and the Wagan charged 80% of my phone, while the Unu charged 78%, so about the same amount of battery power for both. The Wagan weighed in at 5oz on my scale, and if you consider the built in microusb and usb cables of the Wagan, the weight to power ratio is great. When you're backpacking, every tenth of an ounce counts! And, no more searching through my pack for that hard to find usb cable, since It's built into the charger. I think the solar panel takes a bit longer than the stated 18 hours to fully charge the unit. I had it charging under full sunlight for over 15 hours, and it had three out of four lights charged. For my usage, I need to charge about 30% a day on my phone when I'm backpacking, so the solar panel should be enough to keep me charged for over a week. One last thing. This thing charged my phone FAST. I wish I could find an AC adapter that would charge it this fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great functionality Was looking for a solar charger to use in my vehicle. They don't recommend leaving it on the dash in extreme sun light... So I leave it ether hanging from my rear view mirror or in my center consul. It charges fast and I have power when I need it on the move. Sometimes I forget to plug in my phone to the car and get to a meeting and need my phone. So, I bring this charger with me and charge my phone on the move... Works great...
