Elite™ 1000W PRO Elite™ 1000W Pro Inverter
Wagan Tech Elite Pure Sine Power Inverters convert 12V DC (car) power into 120V AC (wall outlet) power that is identical to your home (commercial) electrical power—in true, pure sine wave form. Compared to the traditional inverters, which output in modified sine wave, AC power in pure sine wave form will operate your electronics with cleaner, cooler, and quieter energy.
Front Features
The Elite 1000W Pro is purpose built for the user. On the front panel, you will find two AC 120V grounded GFCI outlets (the same as found in your home), a 2.1A USB Power port, Digital Display, Power and Fault LEDs, ground terminal, and the Inverter power switch.
Elite™ 1000W PRO
Elite™ 1000W PRO Rear Features
On the rear of the Elite 1000W Pro inverter are the fan grilles (for the internal cooling fans), negative and positive terminals, and the DC connector Guard. Also included is a wireless remote to turn on/off the inverter remotely. You will find four mounting points built into the perimeter of the case to ensure the Elite 1000W Pro is able to be mounted where you need it.
Safety Features
The Elite 1000W Pro also features a low battery alarm and an automatic low battery shutdown feature that will notify you when your battery is getting low (10.5V ± 0.5V) and will shut down the inverter to protect the battery from over-discharging and possibly damaging it (9.5V ± 0.5V). With over-load, over-heat, short-circuit, low battery, and reverse polarity protection, you can rest assured that your investments are well protected

The Benefits of Pure Sine Wave vs. Modified Sine Wave
Modified Sine Waves (MSW) are not smooth, flowing waves. Rather, they present a wave form that has steep crests followed by a sharp plateau and then a steep trough; that is why MSWs are also known as “Square Waves”. As you can see in the comparison chart below, the Pure Sine Wave is a smoother, more constant and flowing wave form.
Why Pure Sine over Modified Sine?
Why does the output sine wave matter? For today’s sensitive electronics, it makes a huge difference. Pure Sine Waves (PSW) allows these electronics to run cooler (less cycling), cleaner, and with less noise. PSW is the output form that comes from the AC Wall outlet in your house and is the most clean. Additionally, some electronics and appliances simply will not operate on a Modified Sine Wave. Sample items that will not operate on an MSW are: some laptops, printers, coffee makers, dimmers, digital clocks, fluorescent lights, fans, microwaves, drills… the list goes on. MSWs can also over-heat some devices and potentially lead to the device’s shortened lifespan. If you want clean, smooth, and the most pure sine wave attainable while keeping the noise down, the Wagan Elite™ series of inverters should be your top choice!

Elite vs. Elite PRO Models
We took the popular Elite Pure Sine Inverter and made it even better with performance, safety, and mounting upgrades
  • Better Performance: Output Voltage more consistent; ability to quickly recover from load variation
  • Less Heat build-up: Heat Sinks are centrally located
  • Neutral to Ground Bond
  • DC Terminals separated for safety
  • Reinforced Mounting Points offer more rigidity
  • USB Power Ports: 2.1A each for modern electronics (Tablets/Smartphones, GPS)
  • Temperature Controlled Cooling Fan

Wagan True rated power graph” border= TrueRated Power™
TrueRated Power is Wagan Tech’s coined term for truth in advertising and performance. While actual output wattage of competitor’s inverters varies greatly, Wagan Tech inverters help consumers to understand and trust that the number printed on the inverter is the actual output of the device. Nearly all of Wagan Tech’s Inverters feature TrueRated Power. Simply put, our inverters are tested at full load and will sustain that continuous load for 24 hours. For example, our Elite 400 Watt Pro Inverter will run for 24 hours straight with a 400 Watt load. Our competitors claim “continuous wattage” when in fact most are only rated at 20 minutes of “continuous” wattage. After 20 minutes, the competitor’s output wattage will drop down by as much as 25% of their claimed wattage (in a 400 watt inverter, that can be a 100 watt loss!). Wagan Tech builds our inverters with high peak surges that allow up to 3x the continuous rating to support high surging appliances such as tools, microwaves, air conditioners and refrigerators. Wagan Tech uses top quality components and reliable MOSFET transistors – the key factor in reliable inverter manufacturing.

this can be used in solar systems?

Asked by: V1ch
Hi V1ch, This device is commonly used with Solar systems for off-grid use. Generally the solar panel will collect the energy and process it through a charge controller. After passing through the charge controller, the power is fed to the battery bank to which the inverter is connected. Our Elite Pro Pure Sine Inverter is a great way to supply clean power to your appliances!

Is the inverter water resistant? I am planing on mounting this unit on a boat, under the drivers console. It will not be in direct contact with water, but may get splashed occasionally, or wet if it rains while transporting the boat without the cover on.

Asked by: Lspwr
Hi, This inverter is not water resistant. I would recommend that you mount this inverter in an area that is protected from the elements. If that is not possible, a marine grade inverter would be required.

With 1000w continuous output can this be from 1 outlet or is it 500w per outlet ? Many thanks

Asked by: DieselDoc
the unit, not the outlet, is rated at 1000 watts.... that means 1000 watts from a single outlet at a time, or 500 watts max per outlet with identical loads on each outlet.... or, 200 w. and 800 w. Think of it as a 1000 watt water hose with two faucets.

I recently purchased a Wagan Pro Elite 1000 inverter and just installed it in my motorhome. IT has a draw even when shut off is this normal. Now the big problem, it seems to power up fine both by remote and by switch, shows 12.5 volts but 0 volts output.
