Wagan Tech® Solar e Power™ Cube 1500 Wins Best-in-Class
HAYWARD, Calif.—(Las Vegas, NV)-- Wagan Tech® presented their new line of solar power generators. The Solar e Power™ Cube 1500 and the Solar e Power™ Case 450 attracted crowds of on lookers and consumers at this years 2012 National Hardware Show.
Every year, DIY (Do it Yourself) Network and the National Hardware Show join forces to pick out a selection of new products from each category to be nominated for the “ Best-in-Class” award.
Chad Youngblood, the General Manager of DIY Network, officially announced Wagan Tech as one of its Best-in-Class award winners for the Solar e Power Cube 1500 Solar Generator. “This baby is stylish and portable. It houses all of the modern power connections and mobile devices people use today.” Chris went on to state that during a life-threatening storm, the Solar e Power Cube “could play a role in keeping my family safe and comfortable.”
“We have spent years developing a solar generator that is not only ‘plug-and-play’ but also fully portable. We were pleased to see that our hard work and dedication to this project had attracted to so much attention,” stated Mr. Hsu. “Winning Best-in-Class really showed us that consumers understand the problems with current gasoline generators and are looking for other cleaner forms of power, which we are able to offer.”
According to Alex Hsu, Wagan Tech Vice President of Sales, the Solar e Power Series is expected to empower the developing world, where access to electricity is unreliable. Remote villages can now access electricity instantly. Traditional solar kits require complicated installation and are not portable. Wagan Tech’s new Solar e Power(tm series is fully portable, requires no installation and is ready to go when you need it most!
What is the Solar e Power™ Cube 1500?
Equipped with solar panels, an AGM/Gel Hybrid battery and equipped with Wagan Tech’s premier power inverters, the Solar e Power Cube is a fully portable generator. Everything is wrapped up in a rugged case with all-terrain wheels (Kitchen sink not included).
It boasts a 1,500 watt AC inverter and a 55 AH battery packaged in a sturdy, wheeled case. Once wheeled into place the solar panels unfold and slide out providing 80 watts of solar charging to the onboard battery.
This unit can accommodate additional solar panels and batteries for quicker charging and additional storage. “We like to think of these units as a ‘home base’ for a solar setup as you can add more panels for quicker charging and you can add more batteries for prolonged use. The scalability of the unit allows them to be easily customized to the end user's needs,” said Alex Hsu, Wagan Tech’s Vice President of Sales.
In addition to applications in developing countries, it can also be used in a “green” environment. Because it is portable and self contained, it’s ideal for use in emergencies when back up power is needed or by people working or living in remote locations.
